Greensboro Wedding Photography : Matt + Caroline

With a fun rehearsal dinner at the O’Henry and a beautiful wedding at Castle McCulloch this was an awesome weekend. I couldn’t have spent it with a better people than Matt and Caroline and their families.

There were some great people that helped the day go so good.

Jaime Austyn, Impressions Spa did hair and opened her house up for the girls to get ready.

John Haskins, Friendly Neighborhood DJ is one of my favorites. He’s so classy and fun.

Angela Spangler, Girl Friday Creations and Events kept everything running smooth.

Gail Galloway, Good Time Photo Booth provided some great fun for the guests.

Friday night rehearsal dinner at the O’Henry. I always love working with the fabulous Laura Peterson.

I loved so much about this wedding! Jayme was amazing all day. In the over 3000 images I’m not sure there is one where Jayme isn’t smiling and loving her wedding day. Merritt and Jayme, you guys rock! It was such a fun day with many beautiful moments.

Merritt is the owner of Recycles. It’s a great bike store for cyclists. Jayme and Merritt are big riders so this cake topper was perfect.

Hunter and Melissa’s wedding was a ton of fun! I’m really excited that Melissa’s sister, Brittany just booked me for her wedding next year. It will be great to see everyone again! Big thanks to my 2nd shooter Jonathan who got some great shots.

Greensboro Wedding Photography : Chris + Miriam

Almost exactly a year ago I met Miriam’s mom to discuss Miriam’s wedding. Miriam’s parents are owners of the fine art and custom framing gallery in Greensboro, The Art Shop. Chris + Miriam live in NY and I got to meet them last August when they came down for their engagement session. I was really looking forward to seeing them again for the wedding. What an amazing day! So many friends and family. So many killer details. And the reception at the Greensboro Country Club was a blast! I love a great band at a reception. And who doesn’t love a Krispy Kreme delivery at the end of the night Special thanks to Mimi who was a huge help throughout the day. Her decision making and calmness is exactly what you want from a planner. Shout out to my assistant Jonathan, who took some great images.

Duke Wedding Photography : Matt + Megan

In my last post, I mentioned Graylyn was one of my favorite locations to shoot. Well, that wedding was Friday. The very next day I got to shoot at another one of my favorite ever locations, Duke Chapel! The size and beauty is breathtaking. Not only was it a Duke wedding, but the reception was at the amazing Washington Duke Inn. It’s nice to shoot at great locations, but the best treat is to shoot for wonderful people. . It’s important because you are around them all day, and they are your primary subject. I love to shoot for expressive, genuine, fun, happy, smiling, and relaxed people. Yes, I’m talking about you, Megan : ) Megan was so fun and happy all day! I’m mean she clapped and cheered when she saw the stylists results for each of her bridesmaids hair. She just soaked in her day and enjoyed each moment. And it was just an amazing day! The people were amazing, the locations were amazing, and the party was amazing. Nobody rocks a reception like tHE.DESIGN ! I first worked with them last year and when Megan asked me about a band, I couldn’t say enough good things about them. They offer a unique experience for the wedding guests. The details (as you will see below) were insane! Erin from Erin McLean Events has amazing taste and offered perfect direction throughout the day. If you want to enjoy your day instead of directing it, contact her! Graylyn Wedding Photography : Roddy + Allison

My favorite place to photograph a wedding is Graylyn Estate. It’s just stunning. When I met with Roddy + Allison a year ago, they said they wanted to do a destination wedding somewhere in NC and chose Graylyn. I thought they made a wonderful choice. Every time I think of the wedding day, I think of Roddy walking around with his new iPad watching the weather forecast : ) For some reason every time I shoot at Graylyn, there is a strong threat of rain. The rain stayed away most of the time and allowed for a beautiful day. It was a perfectly relaxed day with a beautiful ceremony and and a great dinner that allowed them to spend time with family and close friends. Thanks for letting me capture this day for you! Here are just a few of my favorites.

P.S. Graylyn, please don’t rain on me when I shoot you this week.

What a fun wedding! I met Carlie over a year ago, and for the meeting she brought her good friend Alana, who just happened to be getting married two weeks before Carlie. Well, they both decided to book me. Alana’s wedding was earlier this month at Southern Pines, and I didn’t get a chance to blog it. Two weeks later Carlie had her wedding at the Hayloft in Greensboro. The sad thing about my job is that after spending an entire day with my couples at their wedding I get pretty close to them but often never see them again. The great thing about these weddings was that I got to see them twice in the same month. Carlie and her girls were so relaxed and fun. It was a celebration from the moment I walked in the hotel room till the exit at the end of the night! Here are a few of my favorites…

The DJ realized at the last minute that he didn’t have the song for the Father-Dauhter dance. No problem, they quickly selected a fun country song and got down. Carlie’s dad was one of my favorite dad’s of all time, so fun and laid back.

I do a number of weddings each year where I never meet the couple until the wedding day. This could be awkward, but somehow I’ve been blessed in these situations with some of the most amazing couples. Byron + Briana were no exception. Two very special people. I was blessed just to witness their wedding day. It was one of the most spiritual weddings I’ve seen. Beautiful people. Beautiful weather. Beautiful scenery. Love this job!
